This printer is terrific!!
3 of 3 found this helpful I love it because it is very durable and reliable, plus with an accessory cartridge it does double sided printing and almost never jams. Separate color ink cartridges are much better than all the ink in one - just replace those colors that run out. Saves a lot of $$$. The printer is really quiet also, as compared to others that I've had.
Also this printer has more separate ink cartridges as compared to the new HP printers. It has light blue and light purple - the new ones don't. I like the separate cartridges because, while you don't use much of their ink at all, that which you do use saves the other ink cartridges. Probably HP eliminated them due to customer complaints. I order all my ink from HP directly - shipping is free and I keep an inventory. You can also order new higher capacity ink cartridges from HP - they seem to last much, much longer.
If you buy a used printer, make sure that it is already set up for your operating system (Windows vs Apple). My printer had been set up by the prior owner for an Apple system - took me forever to figure out why it wasn't working. After I reconfigured it for Windows it worked perfectly.
I do just use the printer function - don't do picture prints or faxing. I have never figured out how to make the scanner work - I can't seem to save the scans to my computer or a thumb drive inserted directly to the printer. Probably I'm just too dumb to get it right.

The Ford Excursion is Awesome!
Terrific vehicle for those who need Super Heavy Duty transport that fits nine people comfortably plus all their equipment (i.e. my daughter's icehockey team). While fuel prices are high, and I can understand why Ford discontinued this vehicle, the fuel economy is amazing for such a huge SUV.
