WEN 10 VARIABLE DRILL PRESS

You can pay a lot more for similar drill presses but for the price I paid this one it's a great value. If you look at a Jet drill press it looks identical. probably made my same manufacturer. The costs 40% more. I looked at several bench drill press reviews. Wen was always on top or a least in the top 5. For most do it yourselfers this is an excellent drill press for most jobs. I paticularly like the variable speeed with digital readout. No more fiddling with belts. I recommend getting a Wen drill press table with adjustable fence as an added accesory,

PLANTRONICS Voyager 5200

I replaced my aging Plantronics Legend bluetooth the the Plantronics Voyager 5200. I am amazed how much better the 5200 is over the Legend. The Plantronics Legend was very good but sometimes the people on the other end had a hard time hearing because of background noise. It was frustrating for me because I need to be heard clearly at all times. I am a professional driver for 10 car dealerships and rely heavily on my bluetooth. I am always on call. The first time I used the 5200 my wife noticed right away how much clearer I sounded. Once I was talking outside with a slight breeze and still could be heard clearly. The legend could never do this. The 6 layers of background noise cancellation on the 5200 instead of 3 made the difference. The 4 microphones over 3 helped too. I recommend installing the Plantronics app on your phone. You get firmware updates and if your bluetooth is missplaced it will locate it. The 5200 cost a little more but it is well worth it.

STARRETT CENTER PUNCH

This punch packs a wallop. I have a General punch I been using since the seventies but when using it on metal it didn’t leave a good deep dimple. The STARRETT punch leaves a nice deep dimple so when drilling the bit doesn’t wander. Looking at this punch one can see the excellent build quality. It’s a beaut.
