Very good product at a great price.
I have already used the kit on two occasions and it performed as expected. To give you an idea of the value you're getting for the price, I was in the optical department of a discount store recently and they had the same exact screwdriver included in this kit, just the screwdriver, for $6

a better battery and it would be excellent
6 of 6 found this helpful I have had one of these for years. The only down side is the the battery, it just is not enough to use it for more than a couple or few hours. Use it with the car kit and it is great. The OEM car kit has a speaker built in to it that is great (the units tiny speaker can not compete really with road noise. once in awhile it may freeze and you have to re-set it; other than that the only time I have ever had a problem it turned out to be the SD card and not the 3600.
I have logged 1000's of miles on "Betty" and she has been a wonderful companion for someone like myself who has anxiety when traveling in unknown locations.
Every time I see the latest and greatest GPS units come to market I debate whether I should upgrade, but the newer models just dont appeal to me like the 3600. The way that the PDA's address book links up with the units GPS functions is absolutely fantastic; click on a entry in the address book and click the icon to route you to it from where ever you are. It slips easily into your shirt or suit pocket when you are done
It is a shame that Garmin no longer supports the unit; if they ever stop making maps for it I will be sad indeed. In the mean time I am looking to get a spare - I love it that much.
BTW, you can find aftermarket batteries, even longer lasting ones, to replace the original.
And if you do buy aone from someone - make sure that it has the original unlock codes that came with it when it was first set up, and that the original owner is willing to email Garmin to let them know it is changing owneres.
