Ikea "non" not lasting 1 month
Even though this is a UL listed product it is made in China and the AC adaptor prong broke within a month of use.

Design for durability
Bodum presses have only lasted a few years in our household. In the last 18 years, I have created am embarrassing collection of skeletal remains(5). Glass replacements are always more costly than the whole thing new or recycled like this one. They break from fatigue over time. This new design looks like the soft plastic exterior will reduce stress on the glass. We might try hand washing. This is a well designed product. Hope it outlasts the others. Always look closely at glass liners for disclaimers because some can explode from high temperatures. The quality has decreased, especially with imports from China.
