Sort of works
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very inexpensive tool to help locate hidden cables. It is not a very accurate or easy to use unit. It does work after a fashion. I used it to locate a sprinkler valve. I found 5 of the 8 valves in my yard. I was unable to find the valve that was defective. You must be patient and be willing to keep trying. I was able to get better the more I used it. I did finally schedule a service call from a local repair company to repair the valve.
