The Last of a Great Concept
The M18x was the final Alienware Laptop to come with the Classic Design in metal construction. The M15x and the M17x R2 were phased out to be replaced by the lighter-weight plastic m14x R1/2 and M17x R3/4 while the M18x continued in a full metal build for the R1 & R2. All to be replaced by the new design Alienware 14, 15, 17 & 18. If you ask me, I'd always go for the classic HQ build quality and design, it's simply a cut above the rest. Superb laptop, fully upgradable -Get a good one while you can !

Tech-Air Slip Case - Great basic protection
Slip Case is right, it's not padded but offers scratch protection for oversized 17" ers that just wont fit in a standard 17" case or your 18.4" slimlines. It's an attractive case with robust grey nylon material edging and rubber feel body.. not bad if you can get it for just over £12.00, then you're on to a winner.

Qosmio X300 - Super Laptop !
The qosmio X300 is one you'll either love it or hate it... i love it. Its completely different from any other laptop in terms of colour, styling and design from the transparent red accents to the curvy lines to the flamed covered lid.
Like many other laptops, this model did suffer from an unresolved issue.. in the x330's case, a blanking screen when using graphics with Nvidia - the screen would go blank with the need for a reboot. this little problem of course was never confirmed or aknowledged by toshiba, they just say its the motherboard or its the gfx card! Actually its neither of these as i solved it! HOW? you'll need to research that yourselves - all you need to know is - it can be done.
