Great classic movie
This is a movie I grew up with. I rarely missed it when it came on TV, so I was thrilled when I found it on DVD. It is a fairly typical 50's atomic age movie with giant ants roaming the area. It carries the plot further than most of those movies and shot in various locations, when most of the movies were shot on lots. Top actors in the two male leads with James Arness (of Matt Dillon, Gunsmoke fame) and James Whitmore. The special effects are not like you would find today but are really very good for the time frame. I never understood why nuclear radiation would make things grow and not shrink, but I guess tiny ants are not scary.

My first gamecube.
I received the gamecube timely and it was very easy to set up. (I am 59 and have not had a game set up in over 25 years when my son was a child.) I got games and the memory chips and a controller I likes and was immediately playing. It is fast fun and accurate without hesitation. I got the gamecube because I like the Zelda/Link games and Nintendo is the only one to make those or use those in their systems. I enjoyed the game from my first experience with initial release of the Nintendo game box. Con: This is not the gamecube fault but a game issue in that it takes forever to load through all the animation and fancy artwork at the front of the game. If there is a way to bypass all of that It would be nice to know about. Sound is terrific, and game play is fun and not too difficult even with all the controls on the hand grip. I like simple straight forward controls without a lot of fancy maneuvering that has to be done. I got two Zelda games and Tiger Woods Golf and have enjoyed the playtime, I have had a chance at. I look forward to this weekend when I can get some additional time to play.
