Does NOT work with Samsung YP-T8 MP3 Player

This cable does NOT work with my Samsung YP-T8 at all, either as a USB Data Sync cable or even as a simple charging cable. The connectors at both ends are the correct type and fit the YP-T8 and USB interfaces properly, but the MP3 player does not power up or show any signs of life when attempting to use this cable. It's as though the cable were not connected at all! ALL of my original Samsung YP-T8 charger and USB cables still work properly, with my three YP-T8 players, but this cable is completely non-functional with all three players.
