The Irish R.M. Series 3
The Irish R.M. programs are wonderful. The stories by Edith Somerville and Martin Ross are humorous and the actors are Just perfect for their roles. In short, I am enjoying the programs very much.

The Civil War
This civil war series is wonderful.

An important book and very well written.
The book describes the 5 days in May 1940 when Winston Churchill became prime minister replacing Neville Chamberlin and staved off negotiations with the Nazis, There were important members of Churchill's cabinet (in particular Lord Halifax) who were pushing hard for negotiations with Hitler. Churchill would have none of it, and it finally led to the total destruction Nazi Germany. This is very important in the history of the world because the Germans could not say, this time, they were stabbed in the back as they did at the end of WW I because there was an armistice and not an unconditional surrender. Roosevelt set the terms this time there would be unconditional surrender.
