Just What I Needed
I experienced occasional chafing after long rides. I tried several Specialized saddles over the years but none seemed to solve the problem. I can across this one, with high reviews on one of the cycling forums (don't remember which one). My rides have been heavenly, I don't dread long rides anymore. If anything, I think the stiffness of the saddle means I can generate more pedal force. I wish I had tried it sooner. I think lack of the long saddle nose and a more ergonomic profile means your butt cheek sitting bones are the only point of contact with the saddle, that's it! I wish they would have added just a little bit more cushion but I can live with it. I'll just have to get a seat post that smooths out the road roughness better. This saddle is well worth the money I spend on it. By all means, buy one if you have issues with chafing and general sitting discomfort.
