Good quality for experimenting with instrument
2 of 2 found this helpful I think this is an excellent value for learning the instrument. If I get to a certain level, I will want at least a student model of better quality of around $300. Really good instruments go from about $600 or much more.
The instrument's short comings are the tone and tuning. The tone is so-so, but it plays well. I find it needs probably more frequent tuning than I expected, and I presume that is from the low-cost quality. Of course there's not guarantee you'll get a much better instrument if you pay more, so be careful. There is also some "buzzing" noise which I can't tell where it's coming from.
I didn't have to do anything to adjust the instrument. I looked at adjusting the bridge, but it seemed to be adjusted correctly from what I could tell.
The return cost is prohibitive, because you have to pay both the delivery and return shipping.
