    Does the job
Needed this to get from my docking station at work to one of my monitors. Works just fine. Was worth it to me to pay slightly more to get it from a domestic vendor vs. "Slow boat from Asia."

Lizone QC 35000mAh/129Wh Portable External Battery Surface Pro3/4 or Smartphones
    May 31, 2016
    Good product but...
First, the 35000 mAh battery pack works as advertised. Disclaimer: I haven't done a full depletion test and can't vouch for the 35000 mAh, but my gut feeling is that the performance will come close to the advertised spec. I purchased the unit to keep my Surface Pro 3 alive when its internal battery went kaput. The package included the appropriate cable for this task and absolutely keeps the SP3 running for the duration of time that I need it to operate. Now for the "but...": The package also included a lovely 20 VDC power adapter, which was not advertised in the eBay ad against which I placed my order. I was initially excited to see this undocumented extra goody, because the battery unit includes a "quick charge" port with a requirement of 18.8 to 20.0 VDC. But imagine my frustration at not finding either a cable to connect from the output side of the AC/DC converter to the battery pack OR a power cord to connect between the mains and the AC/DC converter. The mains side of the converter does use a standard power cord readily available in the junk box of any geek worth his salt, but the DC out unfortunately has an oddball connector that doesn't seem to have originated on planet earth. In order to save the reader 43 minutes of life that would never be redeemed, your reviewer has kindly scoured the Lizone website in search of: 1) The missing mystery cable that would connect the bonus AC/DC converter to the quick charge port, and; 2) An explanation of why the mystery AC/DC converter was bundled together with the battery pack. The research on both counts yielded: Bupkis. The battery pack does include a micro-usb charging port, but this charging technique is painfully slow. My solution was to modify a surplus Dell laptop power supply with an appropriately sized output connector. Although I answered "yes" for "Is it well designed", beware that the concentric DC connectors for the 12 volt output and the 18.8 - 20.0 VDC fast-charge input are the exact same connector. I'm deathly afraid of connecting my fast-charge supply to the 12 VDC output side of the battery pack and find myself checking twice before connecting either the SP3 or fast charging cable to the device to ensure that I stick the correct cable into the correct hole. I doubt that anything would be damaged by accidentally connecting the SP3 cable into the fast-charge port, but I suspect that plugging 20 VDC into the 12 VDC output would be a pretty sure-fire way to "let the smoke leak out". Finally, the "manual" for this unit is a joke. It is either Chenglish or Janglish (not sure which) evocative of the horrendous "documentation" inserts that plagued us back in the late 80s when we all were purchasing peripherals of dubious pedigree for our 286 boxes. Bottom line: Was it worth the money? Yes. Barely. Good luck.
