Great Grad Gift for Daughter

This is our second Dell XPS13. I had one of the originals back in the early days of Windows 7. Also had a 2.5 hard drive that ate battery life (I only got about 5 hours when it was at it's best and well less than that later). But a fast, pretty looking, lightweight, strong tank. Ultimately gave it back to my company when we moved on to the Surface 3 (another story for another day). This spring, it became time to purchase a new machine for my daughter who is graduating from a major university in Washington, D.C. (aka 'the swamp'). Wanted a quick machine (check); lightweight but durable (check); serviceable 128GB SSD--can always add more memory via onboard SD slot-- (check); long battery life (check); touch screen (check); needed to be under $1,000 (check). Last of all, needed to be from a reputable company who has always done right by me (including the first XPS13). Unless Murphy gets his mitts on this machine, I've never had a bad Dell machine going back to my first in1994. So made the purchase and have an extremely happy 22 year old on my hands! Perfect so far this XPS13 is much more machine than my old one (DUH). As I configured it for her before sending it along, got a real good feel for the machine and can report it is everything she needs.... and more. Solid 5 star rating.....
