These things do exactly what I wanted them to do.
This is just what I wanted. I've gone back to using wooden pencils more and more lately and this helps me to be able to have them with me all the time. Also bought shiny aluminum pencil caps so the points don't soil or damage my shirt pockets.

A very nice green
A very natural hue, not an emerald or extreme green.
There was a meditative, cathedral-like grove of tall bamboo near the school where I learned Japanese outside of Kamakura in the late '70s. This color reminds me of that 竹林。
