Will make you say: "This is Final Fantasy?"
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a very beautiful and original game developed for the Nintendo Gamecube. Although it may seem like a standard hack-and-slash RPG (and if you play single player, it is for the most part), it has clever storyline, intense boss battles, and a multiplayer mode that requires deticated teamwork. You need a Gameboy Advance and a GBA/GCN connection cable for each player in multiplayer, which is a very expensive requirement, provided most of you friends probably will not have one or both of these. The purpose of the GBA is to conrol each characters movements and provide a seperate screen to handle items and various radar abilities on. As I said before, FFCC is a gorgeous game with highly detailed characters, enemies, landscapes, and magic effects. Although it is a short game story-wise, collecting all the strength and magic enchancing artifacts and legendary weapons can take a long time, expect to play 60 hours+ on a single character. Pros: The whole game is beautiful and charming with an original story, the magic combination and seperate screens make it one of the greatest multiplayer experiences on the Nintendo Gamecube, intense boss battles. Cons: Short story mode, artifact/scroll hunting can get very repetitive, if you want to play the multiplayer you'll probably end up having to buy some extra GBA's and cables, which is expensive.

Good ol 2.5D Sonic.
Sonic Rush Adventure is at it's core, what you would expect from a Sonic Rush sequel, more of the same, with a few moderately welcome changes to spice things up. The addition of the word "Adventure" provokes thoughts of, well, an adventure game, and while there are adventuresque elements (such as collecting rings for bigger ships to explore more of the ocean) there is really no such adventure to be had as you would have been led to believe. There is a lot of story dialogue, most of which can be skipped. The shining star of this Sonic game is the actual game-play (as with many other Sonic games). The speed is intense as it should be, the controls are sharp and responsive, and the levels aren't unfairly punishing as with some other sonic games, due to the included "speed boost" that will blast you through enemies and at a higher rate of speed, giving you an incentive to pull off tricks and making the game on a whole much more straightforward and enjoyable instead of frustrating. Boss battle are unusually easy unless you go into the options and turn the difficulty up, probably for the convenience of small children. Pros: Lots and lots of speed, classic Sonic platforming elements, fun mini-games, nice variety in level design. Cons: Easy boss battles, long and forgettable dialogue. Bottom Line: If you're a huge Sonic fan like I am, and you have a DS, paying $10-$20 is a great deal, and even if you're new to the Sonic scene, it is easy to pick-up an play, just forget the dialogue.
