Perhaps Less is Better - Part 2
I grew up with my grandmother's phonograph and I listened to many Art Hickman discs, but never 25 in a row. To add to this, I bought both volumes. I love old recordings, but in this case, where one sounds like the next like the next like the next, one feels like waterboarding might be a bit of relief! It's a distinctive sound for the period. It should be represented in your collection. But you might find that one volume will do quite nicely. All are acoustic recordings, as one might expect from Archeophone. That label has done some remarkable work in keeping early recordings alive. I've bought most of them and highly recommend them. Explore their other titles as well.

Eddie Cantor's Early Years
This CD covers Eddie Cantor's early years with 44 of his recordings between 1920 through 1940. This is in addition to the songs from the films that he was in starting with 'Palmy Days" in 1931.

The Dual Cassette Decks worked out well ...
The Dual Cassette Decks worked out well for me. Especially in that I have, in the past, programmed a LOT of my favorite music with 2-90 minute cassettes... 180 minutes of uninterrupted music works out perfectly. After the work I spent programming the cassettes,.. one song at a time... I'm glad to have the equipment hear them. I'm thinking of buying another unit just like this as a backup!
