Good Value, Hope it lasts
The dimensions of the new strut are very slightly different than the factory one (new one is slightly longer), but it seems to fit OK. Each end fits a different sized ball. It is black instead of brushed chrome, but that makes no difference to me. The factory one lasted about 15 years, we'll see how long this lasts. They were listed as a pair, but the Beetle only uses one for the hood. I have a spare now.

Works, but not as good as Price Pfister OEM
Decent value, but tolerances/quality are not as good as Price Pfister. If you turn the faucet on and push down on the knob, the Danco has play in it and will slow the water flow. It just doesn't feel as good and smooth as the Price Pfister. For the money it's fine.

Mirror is not hard to replace, just hard not to break plastic tabs
Needed to replace the mirror assembly and did the usual - looked up on youtube how to do it, looked on ebay for a week or two, got the part and installed it. You need to be super careful about the plastic tabs that break off easily. I thought I was but I still snapped some off. I wish they didn't design it like that. Anyway, some high strength epoxy is good to have on hand, and double sticking foam tape. Good luck.
