Old Temperamental Technology Still Works
It is old technology that I'm using to convert footage from 8 mm tapes to a digital format that I can save on my computer. This camcorder works but needs a bit of tender-love-and-care to get it to play through the tapes as it stops and needs some type of reset (involving removing and reinserting the battery and/or ejecting and re-inserting the tape). I'll probably need to get some tape head cleaner to get it function better. I'm pleased that I'm able to do the work-arounds and at least play the footage with a goal to convert so that I won't have to rely on the slow technology of rewinding and playing around with tapes.
