Good solution

I inserted a spare DVD-R from a Dell laptop and now it has found a purpose. It was quite easy to install and good quality too.

A good solution to back up music from records or tapes

I decided to buy it to avoid one more record/casette player deck by the same or similar companies on my desktop. They also do the same job but they're bulkier to store when not in use and above all twice or even more expensive. So I was right. Got it into a nice price, the package included all the necessary accesories, there was no problem or incompatibility when connecting either on my Windows PC or even my old iBook laptop. Additionally, the operation manual was really helpful and the included software was functional. Only exception is the included Audacity software which I think is adressed to the advanced user who would be able to manage the ripping/storing process even without the ION device anyway :) In conclusion, it's definitely the perfect solution for the average user.
