NiCad batteries
These are the old tec. batteries but I have 6 different tools that use these type batteries. They do play out after 3 or 4 years of use, even adhering to the proper charging rules.

It sucks, and that is a compliment.
It's much lighter than the old wind tunnel I had. Very easy to snap together and use. I like it a lot.
