Happy with the Product
Overall I am very happy with my purchase. No vacuum this size provides truly show-stopper suction. However, this Dyson model definitely out-classes the three or four similar-sized hardware store equivalents I have used over the years. It does a very satisfactory job on the stairs that I bought it for, which have a number of odd angles other vacs cannot get to. The accessory attachments are well-designed and slide on firmly and off easily. As advertised, it charges quickly. My only quibbles are that:
- the mechanism for emptying it is an awkward three-hand process that is not clearly diagramed in the instructions; and,
- lack of a rack or holder for the attachments is disappointing.

Great Potential but Interface and Setup Frustrating
1 of 2 found this helpful The product works, if you are willing to go through the frustrating and unintuitive setup process. I bought it to work with the Microsoft Flightsim 2020, and it does, once you spend 40 minutes lining up the monitor-mounted sensor with the one on your headphones.
Once I got it working, I could pan around just as I had hoped, and the speed sliders allow you to keep the motion in a range that allows clicking on control panel features is easy. Also, the TrackIR works well simultaneously with the standard flightsim mouse controls, saving you from leaning awkwardly forward if all you want to do is see a gauge reading more clearly.
So, all good, right? Next day, however, I loaded everything, and my view was backward, looking over the tail of the aircraft. It took me an hour to get it facing forward, and tweaking the position of the sensor didn't help. Everything remained skewed. So, just to get flying, I turned the TrackIR off. That was when I realized there really wasn't much advantage to having it for the flightsim. The mouse and keyboard quickly changes the views in-out-up-down, and I didn't miss the TrackIR at all.
I am going to try again to set it up, but I suspect I will end up passing it to those folks who run around virtual battlefields shooting at things. It should be ideal for them, if they can get it to stay stable from one session to the next.
