Great Upgrade For Uniden DECT-1560 Series Phones

While these are awesome batteries, it is important to remember that ALL NiMH batteries suffer from memory effect (not as bad as NiCd batteries), but it still exists. I learned that from using NiMH batteries with RC models - now use Lithium Polymer batteries instead. In order to gain maximum performance from NiMH batteries it is best to cycle them 2~3 times when new. That "teaches" them what it feels like to be completely charged & completely discharged; that prevents "memory effect" from setting in & optimizes there performance & life expectancy greatly. After that, it's best to completely discharge/charge them periodically. Another mistake most people make is to leave the phone on the charging base all the time; doing that quite literally "cooks" the batteries. Once the battery has been fully charged, take the phone off the charger & LEAVE IT OFF!! My phone went for NINE FULL DAYS & NIGHTS OFF THE CHARGER (died between day 9-1/2 & 10); that included many calls that were 30~60-minutes long + standby. Why does the phone need to be on the charger all the time when it will run for a week & half off of it? Remember, the original battery is 300mAh NiCd, these batteries are literally FIVE TIMES that much + the better NiMH chemistry to boot. Get a set, take care of them & enjoy being able to leave the phone off the charger for more than 20~30-minutes😃😃😃
