Keeping History Alive
With this book I've completed the Laura Ingalls Winder series for a great grand daughter. I made extra points telling her about Laura visiting my classroom when she was a very old lady in a long black coat. This was probably 1954 in Los Angeles.
This whole series reminds us of how hard life was back then.

A Classic!
I have been gifting the whole series for a great-granddaughter. She loves them as much as I did. This is even more special in that Laura Ingalls Wilder visited my classroom in Los Angeles when I was in fifth grade. I remember her as a very tiny, little old lady dressed in a long black coat. It would have been about three years before she died as I'm now 75.
