Great movie for its scenery and acting!

Well-written novel about a complex incident in the Vietnam war and its aftermath
My favorite DeMille book, by far. Interesting plot, complex characters, and about as realistic as they come. For me, a (70+ year old) Vietnam War resister, the book caused me to reconsider some of my attitudes about the soldiers who fought there. DeMille's older novels are better than the newer ones and this is the best of that lot.
How the States Got Their Shapes by Stein, Mark

Very interesting
If the topic interests you, this is a terrific book. Stein describes the origin of each state's borders in a separate chapter, with lots of geographic details.
