High output, fairly neutral light color
This is one of the highest lumen outputs I've seen in a normal-shaped LED bulb. My previous favorite LED bulbs had a color temperature of 4000K, so I was wondering if these 5000K bulbs would be too "cold" with a blue tint, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Like many LED and CFL bulbs, they are not intended for a fully enclosed fixture. LEDs need some cooling. So if you decide to put them in an enclosed fixture, be aware that they may run too hot and fail prematurely.

Nice camera, here are some handy tips for it
2 of 2 found this helpful I got this to capture general vehicle descriptions at night with just ambient light. The low-light sensitivity is quite good. Output is surprising for a mere 1.3MP cam. Love the motorized backfocus!
Here are some lessons learned for those interested:
1. if the firmware isn't already at 6.x level (like 5.92), first update to 6.11 and then it'll let you go on up to 6.22 or later.
2. the Temporal Noise Filtering option will result in ghosting that's noticeable at night if you're running high shutter speeds, like what would freeze-frame a moving vehicle. So bottom out the TNF if that's your scenario.
3. having it post JPG snapshots to an FTP is not a simple checkbox affair. Plan to tear some of your hair out if you're not a Bosch expert. I would post a script for you, but Ebay blocks it as profanity ;)

Minimalist U-lock for couriers locking just their frame
This is a lightweight U-lock I can cram in a pocket. It's just big enough to fit a parking meter post. I also considered the slightly bigger Messenger Mini, but this one comes with three keys instead of just two. Obviously it's a trade-off between weight/size and security; if you want a stronger model that can lock up your rear wheel plus your chainstays or seatstays, the Evolution Series 4 would be a logical step up (double-deadbolt design and a lot more steel). If you need something light, but want to accommodate slightly bigger posts and don't mind getting only two keys, the Messenger Mini is another option.
Nitpicks: the keys have funny holes that aren't big enough to swivel freely on the common, standard-sized split-ring keyrings I use. Also, the clear plastic collar on the crossbar is a hassle; I sliced mine off with a rotary tool. I knocked off one star for these shortcomings.
