Size not correct
You must check the inside diameter of the gear before trying to press it down on the shaft. My gear was too snug and it got stuck halfway on. Could not remove it, and had to carefully push it all the way down. I was lucky that the hole alignment was correct because it could not be rotated. Experienced repair techs are probably laughing at my plight. Next time I will ream the ID to size, first. But it works so I am satisfied.
