excellent introduction to a thriving Madrid.

perfect size to carry daily thru Madrid as we 'explore' side streets and gran vias. great format packed with data and yet easily readable and concise. I feel like I already know the town and all those crazy narrow streets just by following along as it discusses each barrio neighborhood one by one. makes it easy to locate the points of interest, restaurants, shops, etc. in each area, breaks down a big area into manageable bites. It may not come back home in the same shape but it'll sure help us not get worked over by the sheer quantity of things to do, see and eat while we're there. Do yourself a favor and prepare a bit beforehand and enjoy your time much more completely. Even has a foldout map to keep your bearings straight when following those crooked streets.
