good tool to have
I use this adapter for some bricked atmega328PB devices in MLF package. The pins are pin for pin, i.e pin 1 on atmega328PB = pin 1 on adapter. My universal programmer reprograms the fuses on these devices if they get corrupted. I also plugged this adapter into a small breakout board with an ISP connector and crystal. This allows me to program the chip using ISP before it is installed in case it becomes corrupt. This happened to me many times while programming th atmega328PB so it was necessary to get this adapter. The atmega328P (not PB version) never gives me any problems, never once. However the PB version is a different story. You need this if you are programming the atmega328PB!
