Far better than the cheap latex gloves found on eBay
1 of 1 found this helpful I don't know how thick the latex is, but these are FAR better than the cheap 4-mil gloves that rip and tear if you look at them sideways. The finish is smooth (non-textured), which I prefer. With the price 5 cents each, what's not to love?

Nice upgrade for Socket 771
A pair of these made my older HP Workstation get up and dance. Only a small performance difference between these and the top-of-the-line CPU's at a fraction of the cost, plus the TPO is only 120W vs 150W for faster CPU's. I'm running these on stock single-stack CPU coolers with no problem. I just had to add a 5th pin to the stock coolers and jump it to pin 3 on each one to fool the MB into thinking it's a double-stack cooler. (This is well documented on the web.) IMO, it's the best bang for your buck if you have one or more LGA 771 sockets to populate.

Cheap go-fast
1 of 1 found this helpful I recently picked up an X3470 to replace my i5-760K. (MSI P55-GD85 MB.) The biggest load on my CPU has been capturing, processing, and uploading HD videos using Wirecast. The difference with the new CPU was astonishing. Before, I had to compromise some upload quality so my CPU would stay below 90% and keep from dropping frames. With the same settings, I'm now at 60% and can push the quality up a few notches. The X3480 might get you a fraction better performance, but at double the cost?? No thanks. This will keep my old workhorse going for a few more years.
