The best... cant find them anywhere.
These socks disappeared from stores some time ago, but theyre the only ones my wife enjoys to wear... she loves them and they are so much more feminine and aesthetically pleasing than the grey toed mens gym sock that apparently replaced them. They fit perfectly and have just the right amount of snugness without being clingy. After a while they slouch a bit which is very cozy from what she descrribes. The rib knit aesthetic is one that really has no replacement and adds that finishing touch of authenticity that modern retro-chic tries so hard to emulate, yet falls short when doing so. Instead it overcompensates more obvious traits defeating the purpose of appearing as an enlightened free spirit. Someone that recognizes that details like texture add to the garments they accesorize. These seldomlyrealized details are what will tie an i outfit tigether, completing it, or being led by naivitae. Its the difference between a marzupan rosette enhancing the allure of a finely crafted cupcake and a neon green betty Crocker knockoff... because Nineties. The details differentiate what could be a brilliant style ftom what is essentially a costume. These beautifully textured socks are that engrained in that zeitgeist. Bring 'em back.
