A MUST for any Equine Library!
As a collector, custom artist, shower, and judge in the model horse hobby, I needed a good, dependable, comprehensive horse breed guide that was easy to follow and had great photo examples. This book hit the mark on everything. I wish now I would have bought this years ago when it first came out. The photography inside is simply stunning. I highly recommend this book!

A Must for your Equine Library!
A heavy (440+ pgs) and comprehensive book, beautifully illustrated throughout, with good solid educational material on popular as well as obscure equine breeds. Published 2008.
Upside: great section covering conformation, stable management, horse health, feeding, tack, transporting, training, showing tips, etc. Przewalski & Riwoche breeds are covered. Of Note for Model Horse Enthusiasts ~ Perfect book for breed assignment, as well as Liveshow breed documentation.
Downside: Long Ears (mules, donkeys) and Exotics (zebras, zorse, zedonks, wild asses, tarpan) are NOT covered here.
Bottom line: Get your hands on a copy of this book for your Equine Library! You won't be sorry you did, I promise!

Collector Worthy
The detailing is fantastic and spot on, the face quite endearing. Originally, I bought the grey to further complement the brown I already had in my Long Ear collection. If you live or photo show, this plastic figurine makes a great mexican burro, BLM burro, or even a Miniature Mediterranean (Sicilian or Sardinian) donkey. Every bit as nice as the Schleich, Collecta, or Mojo Fun brands.
