Kyosho #300000 Shock Oil (40cc)
Dec 29, 2016
An unintended use - Dual turntable cuing
Kyosho shock oil is one of the few products that restores the original and proper tonearm drop when you cue a record on vintage Dual turntables. Such turntables, when properly lubricated, might last centuries and there is a lot of vinyl out there to play.

It does everything that I want it to do.
This is one of the classic miniature computers and one known for its ability to run not only Windows XP and a Dell-branded version of Ubuntu, but OSX as well. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of netbooks. Since it has been discontinued, the Mini 9 and Vostro A90 are worth their weight in gold if you can snag one. The screen and keyboard may be a bit small for some people, but its small footprint, battery usage, and speed make up for it.

Epicure Model 5 Speaker Foam Surround Repair Kit / Woofer Refoam Kit
Apr 07, 2017
Replacing foam surrounds
Although it is advised to detach the dust caps over the coil and magnet to ensure they make no contact, I simply exercised great care in the placement and adhesion process. Thus, the speakers are still presentable without the grilles. The bass sounds tighter than the originals, which only lasted a couple of days after buying them second hand and not long enough for a good comparison. That said, the overall sound with the replacement surrounds is quite acceptable. Further, I did not want to waste these Epicure 5s. These date from the 1980s and have the rounded, cherry veneer cabinet that gives them a unique appearance.
