It will protect from scratches but it was cracked on the first week.
Cracked in few days, I have to buy another one.

Good quality
I use this plug a lot due to having multiple devices need it, so I bout 10 of them and they are very good, I tried many others and I can say these are the best.

No issues so far
I got 4 of these to make sure I have reliable recording, in cold weather, I have not tried it in winter yet.
But so far I did not have any issue. I'm using it for security cameras.
