I haven't had to use these yet but they do fit my 215 65R16 tires just fine. The construction looks good and the adjustment/locking set-up appears to be sturdy. I've used similar cables on cars and 2WD pickups. If you have never tried them buy a set and prepare to be amazed. These things will stop your 2WD vehicle on a sheet of ice, something NO rubber-tired 4WD can do. They will get you through all winter conditions, up or downhill, up to the point where the snow is so deep your vehicle "bottoms out". Also the thin cable design allows for speeds up to about 40 mph without the rattle and rumble of conventional chains. My one concern about these cable chains is the tiny plastic "keepers" that the loose ends of the cables are snapped into after adjustments are completed. These "keepers" might be tougher than they look but I will be securing the loose ends with good plastic zip ties for my own peace of mind
