Great source of inspiration
Great book, very informative and abundantly illustrated on Art Deco, a design style and historical era that I am especially interested in. The authors have chosen designs that are more representative of daily life (posters, advertisements, small objects) than fine art in several European countries, including France, Britain, Germany, Holland, Spain, and Italy. Such decorative crafts have not been studied as extensively as other important Art Deco creations, so this book (published separately in Europe and in the US with same contents) fills a gap and helps understand the Deco creative process better. Also a great source of inspiration for my own artistic ventures.

Good designs, but no sources listed
The book includes about 100 pages of designs that are inspiring and can be combined in many ways. I bought this book used, advertised as "very good". The copy came with bent corners and one page ripped, but it was complete. I rate this book 4 stars because the author does not list any source for the original designs--country, region, ethnic group, cultural and historical backgroung should have been identified as artists who wish to use these designs in their art may want to research a specific culture or group for more informed and intelligent inspiration.
