Not bad for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful The gauge is consistently .03 grams off, even after re-calibrating. For example, the gauge calibrates to 5.00 grams after recalibrating with the included 5 g weight. But, after several minutes, the gauge reads 0.03 rather than 0.00 when no weights are on the scale. At least it is consistently off by .03 g, so I just subtract it from the reading, e.g., if it reads 2.03 g then I assume the force is 2.00 g. The box that it was shipped in was thin and flimsy, so the gauge could've been damaged.

Quality construction
The record clamp feels like a quality machined product and looks great on my 1980s Aiwa 3000LT turntable. The diameter doesn't get in the way of the tonearm and it's heavy enough to keep the records secure on the platter. In my case, records tend to "slip" on my Achromat platter, so this was the perfect remedy. This clamp is not meant to flatten warped records, so don't confuse with other clamps. I was expecting a brass finish (because of the description), but it looks to be a smoked chrome. Fingerprints show up, but just wipe. Recommended.

Great deal. Wonderful sound.
3 of 3 found this helpful I purchased the stylus to upgrade my MP150. I love the sweet, open, smooth and balanced presentation. Very similar to the MP150, but with slightly more air, and the mids are back in the mix, not in front. Boron cantilever seems to produce a sense of warmth with detail. Upper bass energy more subdued than Mp150, but the extension is as good.
