Need a question answered about the forks. It looks like a red tube is missing from inside the fork. Want to make sure I’m not missing the tube. Also, did not understand that pedals were not included with the bike.

Good choice

There are a lot of shims out there but the flange on this one really helps locate it and eliminates the need for a spacer under the stem (which I think helps compress the stack more evenly). Also, the height is perfect for the two stems with which I've used it.
