Best Syringe For Industrial Applications
1 of 1 found this helpful The slip(non-locking) Luer tip makes clean-up a breeze when one's application can allow the syringes to be reused over and over again, whereas a locking style allows material to get caught in the threaded section of the Luer lock. The other important feature that I like is the fact that the syringe has a stop which prevents the plunger from being pulled completely out unintentionally. My only negative comment is that the written graduation marks seem to wear off somewhat faster compared to some of the less expensive imported brands. Fortunately for my application, I do not need to keep track of the volumes that I draw and dispense. If I was dependent on this, I simply would have to replace them more frequently than I normally do. I manage to get 100's of uses from each syringe before needing to replace them!!!. I think that this speaks as to the quality of the product. Lastly, I typically draw fluids that are approximately 120 degrees F, which doesn't affect their action, even after using them over and over again, whereas I would notice degradation sooner from using less expensive imported ones.

It actually wasn't for my 1955 model, but I'm going to press in bearing, flip it around, and design a new engagement knob for it. Found bearings that are 50mm OD and 19mm ID, which in the end of the day, will convert the system from a bushed to bearing, so my bandsaw will be able run for another 70 years.
