This product works well and replaces one that died a month or so ago. It allows me to wirelessly send signals from my TV and stereo receiver to the dedicated receiving amplifier that powers my speakers. I have another Rocketfish receiver downstairs for additional speakers. The item does not use Bluetooth, however. It works well and is independent of my home WiFi. I don't know why the company discontinued this product.
