Goonies Never Say Die!
I had this paperback book when I was a teen, and regretted that I gave it away. Out of all the novelizations of movies that I owned at the time (Gremlins and Back to the Future, for example), The Goonies was well-written (appropriately, from 13 year old Mikey's point of view) and included scenes that were cut from the movie, and helped to round out the narrative. Also, it's funny as hell!
And hard to find. So, I am glad to have found a copy at a price that was a little more than I wanted to pay, but still affordable. I am more than happy with my purchase.

It's OK; Fans will Like It.
I had the first Official Dallas Annual when I was young, and I read it cover to cover many times. I loved reading about how Dallas got started, about the lives and careers of the original cast, and especially the episode recaps dating back to the Miniseries/Season 1.
Back in the 80s, you couldn't just look up something on the internet or see past seasons of a TV show at will. So that first Dallas Annual was a treasure to this young fan.
Fast forward to one month ago. I had long since given away my first Dallas annual, only to discover that a second one existed, from 1982! How exciting! I wanted to buy it, so I made the purchase from a UK seller. After waiting for 3 long weeks, it arrived and...it's only OK. I liked reading about some of the supporting actors from Seasons 4 and 5 (Clayton and Dusty Farlow, Donna Krebs, Audrey Landers (Afton), Mitch Cooper and others. But some of the facts were inaccurate and some of the quotations just silly. It's a nice keepsake to have, but I would only recommend it to diehard fans of Dallas.
