a little disappointing
0 of 2 found this helpful I was expecting a bit more from Sennheisser. The capsule has a cardioid pickup pattern. I have used many different mics over the years with a cardioid pickup pattern and none is as tight as this. If you are out of the zone by just a bit the quality and volume drop off dramatically. While this is good for feedback inhibition it is rather annoying for the singer. The mic offers no forgiveness if she isn't just right in the mic. We use Eneloop rechargeable batteries in this mic and several other wireless systems we own. This mic uses up batteries much much quicker than any other system. This isn't all that bad because we can change out batteries between rehearsal and the service, but if we don't, there is some serious distortion that happens. I bought a demo so maybe all the literature didn't come with it but the manuals that did come contained hardly any information regarding operation. I had to download the manual from the web. I was getting some RF interference the other night. I hadn't read the manual yet so I didn't know how to pick another frequency to use. So far I would give this mic a "B" rating.
