Seeds already sprouting!
Good product. Nice size for at home use. My seeds came up so much faster with this heat mat.

Good value.
This is a well-made brass and copper heater core for a Scout II. This core is the larger core (2.5" thick) and will only fit the larger heater boxes. To install the heater core correctly, it needs to be wrapped around it's sides with 2-2.5" wide adhesive foam tape (insulating pipe wrap). I wrapped mine with 2 layers of this foam to get a snug and airtight fit within the heater box. This core did fit my heater box but I had to spread the inlet and outlet tubes slightly (1/4" each) to clear the holes punched in the heater box. If I hadn't done this, either the inlet or outlet would have rubbed on the heater box holes. This could be because of my specific heater box, but I would expect to have to do this with any of these. That said, the core does offer good value and fits in almost all the ways it needs to very well.
