safe and sound

Works with some help
1 of 1 found this helpful I have the old model 25-869. The base is very different. The 25-870 base is oblong with additional mounting holes provided to hard mount if wanted. Good add in comparison to the round base on the 869 lacking hard mount option. However the magnet is ever so slightly recessed into the base now. Additionally the metal bracket it is gluded into is very smooth, causing it to slide around. I added a peice of 100 grit self stick sand paper to the bottom and if adds enough friction to keep it put. Just don't slide it around or you will scratch the heck out of the surface it is stuck on.

Great little saw
1 of 3 found this helpful Great saw. Decent power. Good battery life. Like the built in stud hook. Dust port work phenomenally well. The only down side is the port connector. Not sure what it is designed to fit. I had to rig a hose adapter to make it work.
