Classic epic that hits on all cylinders
This is a classic Charlton Heston epic featuring Sophia Loren and directed by Anthony Mann. It is filmed on location in Spain with a cast of thousands. The film is carried by the acting, script and live action scenes and stays interesting throughout. Downside is that it is very hard to find prints online, maybe because of political correctness, and this DVD was a little old (2008) and had some graininess and occasional lines. Amazingly, the film is split into two DVDS at the intermission point. It would be great if a new blu-ray print could be made of this early 60's masterpiece. It is one of my top 10 movies and very glad to have a copy of it. The extras and "making of" documentaries are a definite plus as well.
It arrived sooner than expected and was well packaged.
