Wonderful eBay previous used phone experience
If purchasing this phone USED via eBay it's helpful if you get the original owner to remove the phone s/n from their online net10.com acct. when you get phone it'll most likely have the orig/activated user's SIM installed. Sure you could immediately add minutes/service date to the phone but you'll still be on the orig owner's acct and they COULD call Net10 and say their phone was stolen and shortly thereafter your newly purchased phone/added minutes will stop working. Best to call Net10, get a new SIM. I called on 11/27 and the new SIM shipped 11/29 and arrived 12/1.... Installed the new SIM and activated it via my home phone calling the Net10 phone number. Walked me through 'I see you received a new SIM, is it installed' and you just answer the questions. Then it asks if I have minutes to add - which you HAVE to have ready. Go buy a card, don't try to set it up using minutes by purchasing through the phone, have an actual card with the PIN you scratch from the back of the card. It finished and was ready to use in about 15mins. However - here's where it got tricky. The phone number never showed up in the PrePaid menu (My Phone Number) selection. so I used the phone to call my work cell and saw the caller ID phone number so at least I knew what the phone number was. Went online to Net10 to create an acct and entered the SN/phone# but it came back with an error not doing it saying the phone SN was registered to another acct (former owner/activator). The technical support person did walk me through entering a Code Entry Mode so that the Phone# would now show in the (My PHone Number) option. Explained about adding the ESN to my already created Net10 acct and she didn't understand. Matter of fact she kept saying the phone is added to my acct. Then she said some rediculous statement like, maybe the ESN is so old it was applied to a different phone..UM that's not likely as it's a 15 digit acct which is in the hundreds of trillions. there would be no reason to move this phone serial which is less than 1yr to another phone since there are trillions of available numbers. Anyway, she thought SALES might be able to help me. Transfered me to sales and after explaining it again the Sales person said they could help me. Said she would have to create an acct for me with that ESN. Started asking me the same questions I answered when I created the acct. I don't mean she was verifying, I mean she was creating ANOTHER acct with the same info I already setup. Name, mother's maiden name, zipcode, etc. I stopped her and said those are the same answers I already used. They she's like, well I can remove the ESN from it's assigned acct! BINGO. I asked is the acct my wife's acct or the acct from the previous owner/activator (which I had paperwork they had printed and shipped to me). She said the prev owner. a few minutes later I logged into Net10, added the ESN to my wife's acct and voila! So, get the previous owner's to login to their Net10 acct, go to Account Setting in the upper left corner once logged in and choose the link to Remove Phone and you'll save a bunch of headaches. Contrary to some reviews that the Net10 technical support is aweful, I had great success. I kept my cool, said thank you and expressed my appreciation. It's a language barrier. I told them several times about removing the ESN from prev owner/activator's acct but until the right words were used, it didn't make sense to them. Phone is all setup and working just fine.

This work in the T7400 without having to use the riser cards. Windows 7 x64 sees all of it.
