3 of 4 found this helpful This is a sweet movie and a thoughtful film. Country singer on the verge of being jaded takes some time to return to his 'roots'. Romance comes to him unexpectedly with a talented rodeo rider who does not know his fame. I feel as if I know these people. The songs are great and they work really well with the story. I never tire of watching this film. I have stayed up too many nights when it is on late on the Country channel. Finally I just bought my own DVD. Enjoy. George Strait is quietly charming. Susan Sarandon is on-target as an aggressive manager with heart buried deep. And Leslie Ann Warren is a feisty, sexy, hell-yeah sweetheart. No wonder George falls for her.
