Pump works but not as advertized

I received the item, but it was advertised on Ebay as " 3' of lift" and it DOES NOT lift without continuous squeezing the pump. The ONLY reason It bought it was because I was trying to remove water (1,000+ gallons) from a pool that was 3' deep, in ground. Please change your ad so others don't get mislead. Simply as a pump, without ANY lift, it works okay.
