Initial Satisfaction Now Disappointment
I was very pleased with this arm/wrist rest when I first got it, on March 27. It had a good spongy-firmness ratio. The spandex cover fit well. I was delighted to discover the base was slightly tacky so that the rest wouldn't move about on my desk.
However, by April 3, a 1/2" section of the cover had come loose on the long edge facing my keyboard, (and not the edge exposed to the friction from my hand/arm movements). Before finishing my work that day, a 3" section of the cover had come loose. When I picked up the wrist rest to examine it, my hand stuck to the gooey gel that was oozing out onto the edge of the wrist rest's base.
I replaced the gel toward the center of the wrist rest and pressed the cover back down onto the edge of the base. I then encircled the defective area with wide duct tape.
I have also noticed that the original springy-ness is decreasing: the depression made by my arm resting on the gel does not spring back to its original position for 10 or more minutes. So, I reposition the wrist rest to avoid the low spot and resume typing. The product seems to be losing its elasticity throughout its entire length.
All in all, this has been a disappointing product, and for the above reasons, I cannot recommend it.
