Pleasantly surprised
This is a lens for when you just cannot back up on foot, anymore. The images are sharp. I’ve found no problematic color fringes, and with even a marginal 1.4 teleconverter, the lens makes an excellent 15.5mm/f5.6.

Best of the old school flashes
My camera systems are not new. The SB800 was Nikon’s best speedlight that works with both I-TtL AND D-TtL.
If you don’t use these every day, they can be a bit of a head scratcher to set up for CLS, remote.

It's Great as Passanger Seat Companion
I do a lot of park my car, take a few steps, shoot & drive. It is a well padded case that holds a full sized camera kit, quite well. It's even padded well enough to take a small hit, though its not what I call, "Toss the full sack a few feet/drop on the floor," safe bag. The shoulder straps are an afterthought. I wouldn't carry it loaded, over the shoulder at all. The carry straps and using inner lined, Velcro strips instead of panels turns a 4 star review into a 2.5, at best. If I saw or handled it pre-purchase, I would have passed on this model. Sorry, LowePro.
