OutLaws Jewelry was created by Lawrence citizen and Kansas native, Andrea Laws. With its mission to create jewelry that tells a story, natural material is utilized such as: bones, claws, feathers, arrowheads, teeth, agate stones, and seashells, to manifest earrings, necklaces, and hair accessories that are unique and eye-stopping.
The items used are either found by Andrea herself or friends that discover the material during their nature walks. Gathering ingredients also includes purchasing from a Nebraska taxidermist. Local farmers and avid hunters also provide the supply, who are aware of Andrea’s enjoyment in illustrating death back into life with her art form.
OutLaws Jewelry wants to celebrate the lives of extraordinary animals and items of Mother Nature that once grazed open fields, swam in local ponds and rivers, fiercely scavenged the wooded areas of the Great Plains and beyond, and grounded themselves as works of wonder to the gazing adventurer.
